Approximately 12 years ago, I ruptured a disc at L4/L5 and had a discectomy performed. Over the last twelve years I've felt a large amount of scar tissue around my surgical incision. This tissue felt very tight and sore to the touch. Additionally, I had an MRI and was told I have severe degenerative disc disease and several bulging discs. About 5 months ago I started experiencing thigh pain and a burning sensation down my right leg. My lower back has felt very tight and somewhat sore for years. In early December I started receiving back decompression treatments. Small, but noticeable improvements started within the first week of treatment. These improvements continued throughout the entire 8 week program. I attribute this treatment regime to the following:
- Lower back tightness and soreness-98% improved.
- Tightness from mass of scar tissue completely eliminated.
- Leg pain and burning sensation-95% eliminated.
Yesterday, I had an aggressive 5 mile (2 hour) hike over very hilly terrain. When I awoke this morning, my back and leg felt better than they felt in over 6 months. I haven't been able to walk over this terrain and experience no pain in over 6 months. I can't wait to resume golf, biking and more hiking!
